10:30 O'clock
Entrance in Town of Governor and Mrs. Gardner. Stage coach and outriders.
Salute.
Welcome from portico of house occupied by George Washington in 1791.
Review of Historic Parade from residence of Mr. and Mrs. Bishop, at one
time the home of Judge Manley, and once occupied by President Monroe and
John C. Calhoun.
Luncheon served to Honor Guests, under famous Cypress Tree on Neuse
River shore.
2:00 O'clock
Band Concert on Neuse River shore.
2:45 O'clock
Presentation of Swiss Minister, National Government officials, and State
official guests, on river shore.
4:00 to 5:30 O'clock
"Open House" will be kept in fourteen of the find old homes. These are
filled with priceless antiques, for which the town is famous.
8:00 O'clock
Historic Pageant. Honoring Governor and Mrs. Gardner.
10:00 O'clock
Colonial Ball. Honoring the Swiss Minister and Madam Peter, and the
descendants of Baron Christopher de Graffenreid who settled the town in
1710.
