Bridges--North Carolina--Seven Springs
Description: Image of a bridge over the Neuse River at White Hall (now Seven Springs), N.C. Reed describes the image as, "Whitehall Bridge.--This occupies the place of the one destroyed by the Confederates on the morning of Dec. 16, 1862, and is viewed from about the centre of the position occupied by Co. A that forenoon. A rail fence along the bank would have made it look more familiar. The boards under the tree to the right form the roof of the ice-house of the 'Mutual Ice Co., of Seven Springs.'"
