"Not satisfied with the five deer, 31 ducks, three turkeys, two geese and several doves bagged by his party on their hunting trip in Eastern North Carolina, Babe Ruth takes a parting shot at a deer in the woods around Camp Bryan. Many ducks may be seen hanging on the porch. With the Bambino are John Kieran, sports writer of New York, and Frank Stevens, hot-dog king of New York. (Although the Babe was in training at the camp and could not imbibe himself the fruit jars at the left denote that they were hospitable hosts, keeping the famed Craven County Corn for their callers.)"
