Image of the superintendent's house at New Bern National Cemetery. According to architectural historian Peter Sandbeck, this Second Empire-style lodge was built in 1870 from Craven County marl. It was demolished in 1916 (Sandbeck, Architectural History of New Bern and Craven County, pp. 446-447).
