Also includes a power of attorney dated 1 August 1804 from Stephen Cabarrus of Chowan County, N.C., guardian of Miles Wilder, to John Louis Taylor of New Bern asking the court of Craven County to bind Miles Wilder to Mr. Dewey a house carpenter. Court certification by the clerk of Chowan County notes that Miles Wilder is the orphan of Michael Wilder, Decd.
