14 February 1813—[summons] Jeremiah Mastin ordered to appear to answer the complaint of Charlotte Wade on a plea of "covenants broken and not performed. Damages two hundred pounds." Also includes a contract signed 23 May 1808 between Thomas P. Irving, Charlotte Wade and Rachel Holt where Irving leases a lot from Wade and Holt. The lease appears to have been given up by Irving, and Mastin entered into rent.

18 November 1815—[Summons] John M. Oliver is to appear in December term of Craven County Court to answer Stephen B. Forbes of a plea of covenants broken and not performed to his damage two hundred fifty pounds. Also an indenture dated 1 March 1810 between Stephen B. Forbes of Newbern and John M. Oliver of Newbern where Forbes bound a mulatto boy named George as a house carpenter to John M. Oliver for the term of four years.
